Behind The Profile

Good Morning, Happy Day Light Savings, Happy November!

Today I thought I would start a new weekly segment called #behindtheprofile! Every Monday Morning I will share a glimpse into my personal life.

Why? Well, LinkedIn is a business profile and everything I post has always been very strategic. Every post I make has a purpose, reflects my business, and my image. I am always asking myself, will this bring me more business? Will I lose business? Does this help my brand? It’s an endless list of questions that cause me to really only post the things that make me look like the “perfect recruiter.” Which to be honest, I am far from.

So I figured it would be fun to share something that my professional network may or may not know about me. Maybe I’ll start a new trend.

Here we go;

I took a huge plunge this year and made the move out of the Bay Area after living there for 12 years. My husband and I packed up our 3 bedroom home into a POD for storage and have been living in our 27-foot travel trailer up in the PNW. We have been living tiny. #tinyfinsterliving is what we call it (you can find us on Instagram @tinyfinsterliving).

For the past 2 months, we’ve been parked in my parent's backyard where we had no hookups and had to go inside their house anytime, we needed to use the bathroom or wash the dishes. While I loved saving a ton of money and not having to pay any rent. It got really tiring quickly to not be able to use our trailer to its full capacity.

Parked at my parents

Yesterday, we moved into the RV Park about 2 miles down the road from my parent's house where we are fully hooked up and already are so much happier. It’s crazy the difference it makes being able to go pee and wash your dishes in your own tiny home does. AND, we are still saving SO MUCH compared to the rent we paid on our home in the Bay Area.

Our new spot in the RV Park

We hope to only be here for the next 1–2 months. Cause there is something much bigger and exciting ahead for us, but more on that another Monday!
